It was raining so I had to wait until it stopped, or else all of my stuff would get wet. I heard a creak come from the floor I turned and looked, it was Brandon, and he had turned over. I sighed in relief. Mirage - Chapter 1“Mommy! Mommy, please don’t go. I don’t want you to die. Please, don’t go!” I can remember the horrific sight of that day. It haunts my every dream. I remember, it was just after my uncle had us move into a better house. My mother had gone out to buy some dinner, but she didn’t come back. She was in a car accident and I had to go to see her in a hospital on her deathbed. Those were the words I said to her. I was a little girl with no one to turn to for help. Mirage - Prologue“Out of the darkness comes the light, but in this light something grows,” someone told me this when I was young, I didn’t understand it then. I think it was because of all of the darkness that plagued us then. We steadily asked the question, “Is there someone that can save us, or are we alone?” Back then, someone was hiding the secret to our salvation. I think that we, my mother and I, were living alone then. Yes, that’s right we were; we lived in this rickety old shack.
